Roy Jones

Position: Research Coach

• Emeritus Professor Roy Jones was Dean of Research and Graduate Studies for the Faculty of Humanities at Curtin University from 2007-2012. He was also Head of the School of Social Sciences and Asian Languages for six years. As Dean, Roy was responsible for improving the faculty’s research performance and for mentoring academics across a wide range of fields from construction management to the visual arts.

  Roy is the author of more than 100 refereed publications and has held several ARC grants, and been funded by two CRCs, government departments and industry. He has been an assessor of ARC Discovery and Linkage grant applications and served as an evaluator for the ERA 2010 and 2012 rounds.
