Jennifer Bowes

  • Jennifer Bowes was a research leader at Macquarie University in Sydney where she worked as a Professor of Early Childhood from 1996 to 2014, teaching child development and family studies and conducting research on the mutual effects of early childhood education and children, families and communities. From 2007 she was founding director of the Children and Families Research Centre, a Macquarie University interdisciplinary research centre which fostered a variety of research approaches from longitudinal studies to ethnographic and single subject designs. She also worked as Associate Dean, Research for the Faculty of Human Sciences, Macquarie University. In this position she facilitated the work of researchers and research centres in Education, Psychology, Linguistics, Advanced Medicine, Early Childhood and Cognitive Science. Now retired and living in Sydney, Jennifer is keen to share her knowledge and experience through research coaching.
